Is this rock I found a meteorite?
The answer unfortunately, is that the rock you are looking at is more than likely NOT a meteorite. There are some specific traits you can look for to help identify a meteorite. We have an instructional video available on this topic. Only twelve meteorites have ever been found and positively identified in Michigan. You can learn more about the Michigan meteorites here.
I am concerned about a potential sinkhole. What do I do?
