Resources and Capabilities

Since 2013, the Michigan Geological Survey has been administered by Western Michigan University, which has brought significant advantages. This affiliation provides the MGS with access to additional resources, state-of-the-art research facilities, and experts in geoscience. It strengthens the survey’s ability to conduct comprehensive geological research, foster interdisciplinary collaboration, and promote responsible resource utilization
